Organise regular camps to solve power issues in mountainous areas: Dhan Singh

The State Minister for cooperatives, higher education and dairy development Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) should deploy one meter reader on every 500 consumers in mountainous areas of the state.

He was undertaking a meeting of officials of Power Corporation at his office in Vidhan Sabha on Monday. In the meeting the issues of the Pauri and Srinagar areas were discussed.

The Minister said that the actual bills of the consumers of mountainous areas of the state should be generated at an interval of two months. He said that regular camps for solving problems of the consumers should be organised at the offices of Nyay Panchayats and block offices.
