OIL suffers 500 MT oil, 0.46 mmscmd gas loss post Assam incident

Guwahati: OIL India Limited (OIL) due to on-going agitation following the inferno in the oilwell in Baghjan is witnessed production loss of 500 metric tones (MT) of crude oil and 0.46 MMSCM of Natural Gas.

The gas producing oil well blow out on May 27 and on June 9 it exploded into a massive inferno. Union petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with chief minister, Sarbananda Sonowal is expected to visit the site on Sunday.

Pradhan said Prime minister Narendra Modi is himself monitoring the situation. ” I along with Chief minister will go for field visit on Sunday.”
