Oil firm as trade optimism, Middle East tensions support
LONDON: Oil rose on Thursday as signs of improving trade relations between Washington and Beijing which eased demand concerns and rising tensions in the Middle East provided support.
Brent crude futures were up 27 cents at $66.27 a barrel by 1456 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was 10 cents higher at $61.16 per barrel.
