OIL assures of safety measures at well site

GUWAHATI: Following the inferno at oilwell in Baghjan, Oil India Limited (OIL) stated that regular monitoring of Air quality, Water quality, Noise level and presence of Gas (lower explosive limit) is being carried out by OIL at well site.

Biswajit Roy, Director (HR&BD), OIL along with Prasanta Borkakoty, ED (HR&A), interacted with the patients from Baghjan relief camps who were admitted in OIL hospital at Duliajan.

Oil stated that environment Impact Assessment study is in progress by M/s ERM India Pvt. Limited, a NABET accredited consultant to carry out the Environment & Ecological survey within the vicinity of oilwell including Dibru-Saikhowa National Park & Maguri–Motapung Beel.
