‘Odisha to expedite Coastal Highway project’

A virtual meeting was held on Tuesday between Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari regarding the Coastal Highway project in Odisha.

The State Government assured to take necessary steps for removing all bottlenecks and ensuring construction of the stretch from Gopalpur to Satapada of the project, for which Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra has thanked Patnaik and Gadkari, who also participated in the meeting.Pradhan said after completion the Rs 9,000 crore Coastal Highway project would be lifeline of coastal areas in the State. Besides, expediting the tourism sector it would be helpful for development of fisheries, food processing , logistics ad transportation of goods.
