Oct 3 notification exempting moratorium on leased planes to apply retrospectively: DGCA to Delhi HC

In a setback to Go First airline, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has effectively clarified that aircraft and engines leased to cash strapped airline can now be deregistered and returned as its October 3 notification exempting them from moratorium under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code will have a “retrospective” effect.
