Nuclear physicist Kakodkar calls for integrated energy plan

Renowned nuclear physicist and former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India Anil Kakodkar has called for the creation of a pathway that is different from what is being envisioned for India by others in the run-up to turning net zero by the year 2070.

Addressing PMA India’s Project Managers Global Summit 2022 as the chief guest, Kakodkar said, “As we all know, in India we have the double challenge of supporting development, and that means access to additional energy resources, we enhance the per capita energy use and at the same time, go on the path of net zero and realise net zero in time by 2070.”
