NTPC recruits all-women tech trainee batch in an industry first

NEW DELHI: India’s largest power producer NTPC has recruited an all-women batch of engineering executive trainees, marking an energy industry first in affirmative action on gender diversity.

The move is part of the state-run company’s plan to establish an all-women operation control room in the near future, underlining efforts to improve career growth prospects for women employees.
