NTPC invites bids for building India’s first hydrogen fuelling station
NEW DELHI: NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), the green energy subsidiary of India’s largest power producer, has invited bids for setting up the country’s first ‘green’ hydrogen fuelling station in Leh.
The sale of bid documents would commence from July 31, the company said on Thursday.
The move is part of plans to create an ecosystem for starting the country’s first hydrogen-fuelled public transport service.
NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), the energy major’s power trading arm, recently floated a tender for procuring hydrogen fuel cell buses for Leh.
NTPC REL and NVVN would jointly execute the green mobility project in Ladakh.
