Northeast Frontier Railway completes restoration of damaged track in Dima Hasao district of Assam

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) completed restoration of the hill section of damaged track in Dima Hasao district of Assam.

NFR stated, “The overall situation in the Dima Hasao district of Assam has become normal to some extent after the heavy damage caused due to landslide. Despite rainfall acting as barrier in the work process, Railway completed restoration of the hill section within the targeted time frame. Full-fledged rail connectivity will soon resume to and from the southern part of the Northeast starting with freight services. Railway has put all its efforts in restoring the damaged line and re-starting the train services”.
