Noida International Airport: Ten things you should know
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the upcoming Noida International Airport today. The airport, which is roughly 80 kms from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi airport, is in line with the Centre’s vision towards boosting connectivity and creating a future-ready aviation sector.
Noida International Airport at Jewar will become logistics gateway of northern India, Modi said.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who accompanied Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath, said that the government expects investments of Rs 34,000 cr to come to Noida International Airport, with the first phase to be completed in 2024.
