Noida International Airport Latest update: India’s largest airport is coming up in Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar. Being built by Switzerland’s Zurich Airport International, the Noida airport is expected to begin operations by end 2024.
The master plan development of the Noida airport or the Jewar airport as it is also commonly called is foreseen in four phases. Once complete, the Noida International Airport will be India’s largest airport. To begin with the Jewar airport will open with a single runway and passenger terminal building, aiming to handle a capacity of 12 million passengers annually. Eventually, the plans are to expand capacity to 70 million passengers per annum.
