‘No pressure from Adani to sell Mumbai airport’, says GVK Group after Rahul Gandhi’s attack in Parliament

The GVK Group Tuesday denied any “pressure from the Adani Group or anyone else” to sell the Mumbai airport. The statement came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Mumbai airport “was taken away from GVK” using “agencies” by the government.

In an interview to NDTV, GVK Group Vice Chairman Sanjay Reddy said, “There was absolutely no pressure from the Adani group or anyone else for us to sell the Mumbai airport.” He added that the group was looking to raise funds for the airport business, and at the time, Gautam Adani expressed interest in the airport.
