No need to panic, adequate LPG cylinders available: Indian Oil
KOLKATA: LPG Cylinder bookings in West Bengal shot up almost 50% after the 21-day lock down was announced on Tuesday.
“On a normal day IndianOil (IOCL) receives an average 2.4 lakh bookings for refilled cylinders. This shot up to almost 3.5 per day following announcement of the lockdown. Earlier, consumers with double LPG cylinder used to wait at least a week or more before ordering refills. However, panic seems to have taken over and they are booking refills as soon as a cylinder exhaust. This has been exerting tremendous pressure on the delivery chain and we are having a hard time trying to cater to demand,” a senior IOCL executive said.
