No flights to and from Kolkata on lockdown days in Bengal

Once again acting on the requests of the Bengal Government the Centre has decided to withdraw flights from Kolkata on the lockdown days in the State.

No aircraft will fly in or out of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Saturday and on July 29 which has also been scheduled as a lockdown day, Airport authorities said.

Bengal Government has decided to impose twice-a-week lockdown in the coming days to contain the rising cases of corona infections. Accordingly the State will impose lockdown on Saturday and Wednesday. Subsequent dates will be provided by the Government. About 8-10 municipalities of the State are also following a week-long lockdown.
