No boarding for child with special needs: IndiGo regrets incident, says ‘took best possible call’

NEW DELHI: IndiGo on Monday regretted the incident that happened at the Ranchi airport on Saturday wherein the airline barred a child with special needs from boarding the flight.
As a token of appreciation, IndiGo offered an electric wheelchair for the child.
“We offer our sincere regrets to the affected family for the unfortunate experience. As a small token of appreciation, IndiGo would like to offer electric wheelchair for child barred from boarding flight,” CEO Ronojoy Dutta said in a statement today.
The airline “took the best possible decision under difficult circumstances,” he said.
