NLCIL registers record power generation in fiscal 2021-22

Cuddalore: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna public sector unit, and its subsidiaries register record power generation of 2,920 crore units in fiscal 2021-22. This is 18.64% higher than the 2,461.3 crore units generated in 2020-21.
NLCIL set a record in the green energy sector too, with the company’s solar and wind power plants generating 218.4 crore units of power, the highest in a financial year. It was 5.93% higher than the 206.17 crore units of green power generated in 2020-21 in 2020-21.
The company and its subsidiaries also exported 2,589 crore units of power to the distribution companies (Discoms) in 2021-22, which is 19.75% higher than the exports in 2020-21, thereby setting a new export record.
