NLC India’s income rises 1.77% in 2020-2021 fiscal

CUDDALORE: NLC India Limited’s (NLCIL) total income in the last financial year 2020-2021 increased by 1.77%. The income stood at Rs 11,798.42 crore in the last fiscal despite the pandemic situation, said a release from the company.

However, the profit after tax fell by 7.4% in the last fiscal. It fell from Rs 1,452.98 crore in 2019-2020 to Rs 1,345.44 crore in the last fiscal. It fell despite the company’s good performance recording a 51.94% increase in profit after tax in the last quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s power generation capacity crossed 6,000-MW-mark. The present capacity stands at 6,061.06 MW and its mining capacity also increased by 65% to 60.6 million tonne per annum. Similarly, the power dues collection for the last fiscal was 114% amounting to Rs 11,375 crore, which is the highest ever.
