Nightmare Highway 48: Traffic at standstill between Delhi and Gurgaon

Traffic congestion was reported on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway during peak office hours Tuesday as a stretch on National Highway-48 (Delhi-Jaipur highway) between Rangpuri and Rajokri was shut for vehicles by Delhi traffic police as part of a trial.

Officials said both carriageways of NH-48, on the stretch between Rangpuri and Rajokri, will be closed for 90 days to facilitate the construction of two underpasses and a flyover for the Dwarka expressway project, which is being planned as an alternative route to connect Delhi and Gurgaon.
