NHPC inks MoU with Indian Army to build bunkers, caverns
NEW DELHI: State-run hydro power giant NHPCNSE -1.70 % said Monday that it has entered into a pact with the Indian Army to construct underground bunkers and caverns across India.
“NHPC Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army on April 25, 2019, for undertaking construction of semi-underground bunkers and fully underground caverns at different locations in India,” a company statement said.
NHPC shall be responsible for design and engineering, civil construction, project management and execution of the projects.
