NHAI, highway builders to have own YouTube channels to update people on projects, take feedback
NEW DELHI: Social media may be often seen as a peddler of fake news, exaggeration and misleading claims but it also stores enough unfiltered facts for govts to harness its reach in order to collect genuine feedback.
In a unique move, the road transport ministry has directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and highway builders to have their own YouTube channels and upload fresh videos of projects at frequent intervals. TOI has learnt that road transport secretary V Umashankar Tuesday directed NHAI to upload videos on projects on its channel at different stages of development for public viewing and getting feedback.
