The Jamnagar Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express is set to commence operations on September 24, 2023. This high-speed train service marks the third Vande Bharat Express to grace the state of Gujarat, joining the ranks of the Jodhpur Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express and the Mumbai Central – Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express.

Currently, the fastest train connecting Jamnagar and Ahmedabad is the Intercity Express, which demands a travel time of 5 hours and 45 minutes for the journey. The Intercity Express route commences from Jamnagar and extends to Vadodara Junction. Alongside this, the Saurashtra Express (19016) and Saurashtra Mail (22946) also operate daily between these two cities. Unfortunately, due to their extended routes, these options often face ticket availability issues, leaving passengers searching for alternatives.
