Need strong policy intervention in energy use: IEA

With global oil inventories remaining critically low, a strong policy intervention on energy use could prevent risks of collapse of world economic recovery, said the International energy agency on Wednesday.

“Rarely has the outlook for oil markets been more uncertain. A worsening macroeconomic outlook and fears of recession are weighing on market sentiment, while there are ongoing risks on the supply side,” the agency said.
