NDMC gives fresh push to e-scooter plan, invites tenders

With the aim to curb air pollution by launching electric scooters for the users, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC ) re-invited bids for its ambitious project “App-based Rental Electric Scooter”.

NDMC Vice Chairman, Satish Upadhyay while giving the project details said 1,000 e-scooters under public-private partnership (PPP) model will be set-up in two phases at 100 locations in the NDMC area.

“In the first phase, only 500 e-scooters will be set-up at 50 charging stations and the same will be repeated in the second phase. These stations were established near metro stations, bus stops, hospitals, railway stations etc,” said Upadhyay.
