NCLT directs DGCA to file its affidavit on granting slots to Jet Airways
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Civil Aviation informed the bankruptcy court on Wednesday that they will consider granting slots and other approvals to Jet Airways NSE -4.96 % only after the successful bidder gets approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NLCT) and applies for such slots.
Senior Counsel, Shyam Mehta, appearing for the DGCA and Ministry informed the Mumbai bench of NCLT that there is no immediate slot available but if the successful bidder Kalrock-Jalan consortium applies, then the ministry will consider their application affirmatively to help them to revive the company.
