Navi Mumbai: Automatic approval for electricity e-bill name change starts

Navi Mumbai: Mahavitaran began automatically approving online applications for change of name in electricity bills, reducing the processing period from one month to three -seven days.

The initiative followed direction from the chief minister and energy minister Devendra Fadnavis to introduce customer-oriented changes in Mahavitaran’s digital services and provide prompt home-based support. As directed, the chairman and managing director of Mahavitaran, Lokesh Chandra, implemented a new online system that grants automatic approval to name-change requests.
