Naresh Goyal remanded to judicial custody

Mumbai: A special PMLA court on Thursday remanded Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal to 14-day judicial custody, till September 29, in a money laundering case registered by the Enforcement Directorate linked to an alleged fraud of Rs 538 crore at the Canara Bank.

The ED arrested Goyal on September 1 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Special PMLA Judge M G Deshpande passed the remand order after hearing special public prosecutor Sunil Gonsalves for ED and senior counsel Aabad Ponda with advocates Ameet Naik and Abhishek Kale for Goyal.
