Namrup Replacement Thermal Power Plant with production capacity of 100 MW will be commissioned by end of next month
Guwahati: Assam is readying to commission Namrup Replacement Thermal Power Plant (NRPP) with production capacity of 100 MW by end of next month.
Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) officials informed this to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal during his visit to the project site at Namrup in Dibrugarh district on Thursday. The commissioning of the Replacement Plant will augment generation capacity of Namrup Thermal Power Station up to 127 MW.
The Chief Minister while reviewing the project works of the Replacement Plant asked the APGCL officials to ensure commissioning of the project by May end without fail.
