Mumbai’s longest intra-city underground road opens! A ride through coastal road’s underground tunnel
Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled Mumbai’s lengthiest intra-city underground road. Spanning 3.93 kilometers, the Mumbai Coastal Road Project includes twin tunnels extending from Princess Street Flyover to Priyadarshani Park.
The project posed distinctive challenges in tunnel lighting design and execution. Equipped with advanced LED technology and intelligent control systems, the tunnels ensure superior visibility, safety, and energy conservation.
