Mumbai to soon enjoy 1,000 MW more power
MUMBAI: Nearly 80% work has been completed on the Kharghar-Vikhroli transmission lines and is being expedited to ensure city gets 1,000 MW additional electricity through the corridor before year end, sources in Adani Transmission told TOI on Sunday.
Mumbai’s embedded generation is limited to 1,800 MW, with the balance demand drawn from the National Grid, for which the existing transmission corridors have 2,200MW capacity.
To enhance this, the 400 KV Kharghar-Vikhroli line will prove beneficial, said an official from Adani Electricity.
