Mumbai: Rates of cooking gas, CNG dip from today
MUMBAI: Due to a dip in price of domestically produced natural gas by the Centre, Mahanagar Gas Limited on Thursday announced a reduction in rates of CNG in Mumbai region by Rs 2.04 per kg from midnight. The price of domestic cooking gas or piped natural gas (PNG) will also drop by Rs 1.19 per unit from Friday morning.
The revised price, inclusive of all taxes, of CNG in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane will be Rs. 49.95/kg, while rates of PNG will be Rs 30.60 per unit (scm) for slab 1 in the tariff and Rs 36.20 per unit for slab 2 category respectively.
The existing price of CNG was Rs 51.99 while that of PNG was Rs 31.79 (slab 1) and Rs 37.39 (slab 2).
