MUMBAI: The MSEDCL conducted a special drive against power theft in Mulund’s Sarvodaya, Panch Rasta and Neelam Nagar sub-divisions and registered a total of 48 cases for illegal electricity supply.
The assessment showed that approximately 60,000 units of electricity was pilfered which amounted to losses to the tune of Rs 30 lakh. The raids were conducted at Gavanpada, Sambhaji Nagar, Dumping Road and Nanepada among other places under supervision of chief engineer (Bhandup zone) Suresh Ganeshkar.
The Mulund division of MSEDCL has appealed to consumers for taking legal connection for electricity and the drive will continue in the New Year as well.
