Mumbai: Call BMC sub-engineer to fix pothole problems in rains
MUMBAI: To address pothole-related complaints quicker during the rains, one sub- engineer has been nominated for each of the 227 civic electoral wards, each tasked with pothole-filling work.
This is a departure from BMC’s usual practice where it nominated one engineer for each of the 24 civic administrative wards. This time around, the city has been broken into smaller units (227) and a sub-engineer assigned to each unit.
Ward officers have been given the task of effective implementation, states a circular issued last week.
“Sub-engineers have been nominated to attend to potholes problem in 227 electoral wards. The list and contact numbers were already circulated and published.
