Mumbai: Alternate foot overbridge constructed adjacent to Sion railway overbridge to ease pedestrian transport

Mumbai: The obstacle in the demolition of Sion railway overbridge has now been removed. Central Railway (CR) constructed a foot overbridge adjacent to Sion railway overbridge, and it is now open for public use. This will enable the remaining demolition work of Sion railway overbridge to proceed. CR plans to completely demolish the railway overbridge within the next three months.

After the Sion railway overbridge was closed, locals and pedestrians faced numerous difficulties while commuting east-west. Vehicle drivers, as well as pedestrians, had to take long detours.
