‘MP installed maximum number of solar pumps under PMGKA’
New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang has said that Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country by installing maximum number of solar pumps under the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Abhiyan launched for migrant labourers who returned to their states during Covid.
Out of the total number of solar pumps installed in the country, Madhya Pradesh has maximum number of solar pumps installed by the migrant labourers. Dang informed that 3490 solar pumps were to be set up in 24 districts to assist migrant labourers. Against this, 92.4 percent of the target has been met by installing 3224 pumps. The labourers got 15,000 mandays employment in solar pump installation.
