Move to cap Baghjan gas well unsuccessful after Athey Wagon topples over during operation
Guwahati: The team engaged in the capping of gas well in Baghjan on Friday attempted final capping operation, the Athey Wagon toppled over at the last moment and the attempt did not succeed.
OIL India Limited NSE -1.60 % (OIL) stated all operational crew reached site early for carrying out the planned capping operation. BOP stack was hooked up with the Athey Wagon for placing on the well head. While the final capping operation was being attempted, the Athey Wagon toppled over at the last moment and the attempt did not succeed. Reasons for the same are being ascertained for next course of action.
