Motown pitches for continuation of FAME scheme for electric vehicles

Amid uncertainty over the extension of FAME (Faster Adoption & Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) scheme, the auto industry has once again reiterated on the need of continued government support for a successful transition.

Top auto bosses, during a panel discussion on sustainable mobility at the Global Investors Meet on Sunday, said that the industry needs continued govt support. Notably, FAME-II subsidies are set to run out this year.
