Months on, rods on walkway still unfixed on Brigade Road in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The constant bustle of shoppers walking up and down pavements is a common sight on Brigade Road, a vibrant area in the central business district dotted with outlets of top brands and experience stores.

But a broken patch on the footpath now mars the visual appeal of the stretch while also posing a major threat to commuters.

Four metal rods protruding out of nowhere at the broken spot, under the nose of a popular eatery, have turned out to be a dangerous eyesore. The joke on the street is: “Labourers worked on the road and forgot to cut off the rods before leaving, while officials in charge never arrived to cross-check.”
