Mohapatra joins as OPGC MD

Prasant Kumar Mohapatra on Friday joined as Managing Director of the Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) Ltd. Mohapatra is the first person to be appointed as OPGC MD after exit of AES and subsequent acquisition of full management control by State Government.

Mohapatra, who hails from Bhubaneswar, has an illustrious career over a period of 39 years in NTPC in which he spearheaded an array of pivotal roles ranging from concept to commissioning of large and super critical power plants. His was retired from service of NTPC in 2019 as Director (Technical) and was working as a senior advisor at NSPCL (NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited).
