The Municipal Corporation of Mohali shall spend around Rs 42 crore in the next five years for mechanised sweeping in the city.
The Budget and general house meeting of the House shall be held on March 24, during which the proposal for the same will be made.
According to officials, the final touches are at present being given to the proposed budget and the civic body has decided to focus this year on cleanliness of the city. The mechanised cleaning of roads at present is not being done on A and B roads in the city, which will be started in the coming months. Meanwhile, the civic body is also looking to increase it revenue from advertisements.
