Modi scripts new chapter in Chhattisgarh’s rail projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi scripted a new chapter in Chhattisgarh on Thursday by dedicating rail projects worth around Rs 6,350 crore in Raigarh.

He also laid the foundation stone of a 50-bed Critical Care Blocks in nine districts of Chhattisgarh and distributed 1 lakh sickle cell counseling cards to the screened population.

The railway projects include the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, a third rail line between Champa and Jamga, another third rail line between Pendra Road and Anuppur, and a MGR (Merry-Go-Round) system connecting Talaipalli Coal Mine to NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station (STPS).
