Mining firm vows 2 temples in lieu of Gama Devi land

A long dispute between villagers and a coal mining company came to an end after the administration interfered. Both sides agreed for an amicable settlement of the dispute.

As per information, the Adani group is exploring coal from Talabira mines 2 and 3 under Khinda Gram Panchayat of Rengali Tehsil.

But the unfortunate part is that the temple of the ‘Grama Devi’ comes under the mining area and the company authority wanted to shift it to a suitable place to which the villagers protested as they have been worshiping the ‘presiding deity’ of the village since time immemorial.
