Mining automation project furthers Indo-Russian energy partnership
New Delhi:India will soon have its first “Intelligent Mine” – a joint project between Finnish-Russian digital solutions provider Zyfra and the domestic firm Thriveni Earthmovers Private Limited (Thriveni).
Thriveni Earthmovers Private Limited (Thriveni) operates the NTPC’s flagship Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project (PBCMP) in Jharkhand. Thriveni has awarded Zyfra the contract to implement its Intelligent Mine solution at PBCMP.
“A number of diverse factors contributed to our decision to partner with Zyfra. My underpinning requirements have been world-class technology, flexibility in approach and adaptability to an Indian operating environment. Our investment to collaborate with Zyfra is to ensure the latest technology intelligence like IIOT (Industrial Internet of things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) capabilities are available,” said B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Thriveni.
