Mercedes-Benz starts EV training in college module

Mercedes-Benz India on Tuesday introduced an industry-focussed electric vehicle (EV) training module in its advanced diploma course on automotive mechatronics. This academic upskilling initiative is to help develop a future talent pool in the EV category and make them industry ready.

To also promote diversity and equal opportunity for women in the auto industry, which is at the cusp of an EV revolution, Mercedes-Benz’s EV module was first introduced at the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS Women’s College) in Pune.

The course was rolled out by Martin Schwenk, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, Shekhar Bhide, vice-president, customer services, Mercedes-Benz India, Madhuri Khambete, principal, Cummins College of Engineering and Rajendra Jog, trustee, MKSSS.
