Mercedes-Benz Energy to repurpose EV batteries; inks partnership with Indian startup Lohum
Indian battery recycling startup Lohum said it has inked a strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz Energy to repurpose batteries of electric vehicles.
As per the agreement, Lohum will offtake a minimum of 50MWh across multiple second-use battery modules every year from Mercedes Benz Energy (MBE) globally. Lohum will also be the first partner for repurposing/recycling such modules for MBE in Asia.
