MEHAIR signs purchase orders for ten electrically powered seaplanes, first delivery in 2029
MUMBAI: Maritime Energy Heli Air Services Pvt Ltd (MEHAIR) has inked a deal with Switzerland based Jekta for purchase of ten electrically powered regional amphibious aircraft PHA-ZE 100, said the Mumbai based company in a statement released on Thursday. Apart from these ten firm orders, the company has options for purchase of 40 more of this aircraft type, it said.
“With this agreement, MEHAIR will be the first customer to receive the aircraft in Asia, with initial deliveries starting in 2029,” the company said. The first ten aircraft will be delivered in baseline configuration for 19 passengers to support regional connectivity, it added.
