MCL Best ‘Mini-Ratna PSU’

The Dalal Street journal has awarded the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), an Odisha-based subsidiary of the Coal India Limited, as India’s Best Public Sector Undertaking 2018. In a letter addressed to the MCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, the Dalal Street has ranked the MCL as Number one “Mini-Ratna of the Year 2018 (non-manufacturing)”.

The MCL is second largest coal producing company of the country producing more than 93 per cent of dry fuel through “Surface Miners”, an environment-friendly technology.

The company had produced 144.2 MT during the fiscal ended March 31, 2019.
