MCD plans complete street light installation work this month

The Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) has done the installation work of over 92 per cent of LED street lights across city and the remaining will be completed by the end of November.

The municipal commissioner Abhishek Ruhela informed this on Monday on the complaints of councillors and locals about the delay in the installation of street lights. He said that the EESL Company, which has been appointed by the corporation for the installation of the street lights, has installed a total of 89,000 street lights across the city. He said, “The MCD has planned to install about 95,000 LED street lights as per the requirement in the old and new wards of the city. Till date 89,000 street lights have already been installed across the city.
