Mamata pans Centre for fuel price hike, demands all-party meet to tide over ‘economic crisis’

India’s economic situation is relatively worse than that of Sri Lanka and the Centre should talk to all political parties on how to solve the crisis, Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee said on Monday, blaming the BJP-led government at the Centre for lack of planning and rising fuel prices.

She said that in Sri Lanka people have taken a road to revolt. “Sri Lanka is Sri Lanka, India is India. But, there is no planning. In eleven days, fuel prices have gone up thirteen times. Provident fund interest is low. People aren’t sure if they will be able to withdraw their savings, or will receive insurance claims,” Mamata said.
