A day after the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission directed all power utilities in the state to deal with complaints of inflated bills, Energy Minister Nitin Raut said the state-owned Mahavitaran’s consumers can pay their June bill in three EMIs.
Consumers who pay their bill in one go will get a rebate of 2 per cent, while those who have already made the payment can claim the reduction in the next cycle.
Raut, however, reiterated Mahavitaran’s stand on allegations of inflated bills, saying the dues were higher owing to increased power consumption in April and May.
